Russell Westbrook Stands Alone as the Triple Double King

Westbrook now has 36 triple doubles on the season, which is the 2nd highest mark in his career and only behind his record setting season of 42 in 2016-17. He has done the bulk of his work since mid-March, as he has been averaging 23.5 ppg, 13.5 rpg & 13.3 apg which includes 26 of his triple doubles this season.
In a year that stands out amongst his best, Russ is now going to average a triple-double for a 4th season in his career. And not only that, but he is leading the league in assists per game at 11.6. Many on NBA Twitter reached out to congratulate Westbrook on his amazing accomplishment.
Congrats @russwest44 for setting a new Triple-Double record. Wish every NBA player gave as much effort in every game as you do @NBATV @NBAonTNT @NBA @ESPNNBA @NBAOfficial @NBAcom @WashWizards
