Video: Jazz Jordan Clarkson Named Sixth Man of the Year
Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson is your 2021 Sixth Man of the Year as he managed to beat out teammate Joe Ingles, who placed second and New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose.
Clarkson makes history, becoming the first Jazz player to win the award. He had a stellar season, scoring 18.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game in the 68 games he appeared in. All but one off the bench, as he provided the Jazz with some serious scoring pop off from the second unit.
Derrick Rose was the only other player to receive a first place vote, and as for Clarkson, he received 65 first-place votes. Clarkson not only beat out Ingles and Rose but he also managed to top some pretty big names who had stellar seasons. According to reports, Clarkson also beat out, Jalen Brunson and Tim Hardaway Jr from the Dallas Mavericks, Montrezl Harrell from the LA Lakers, along with Carmelo Anthony, Chris Boucher, Bobby Portis, Enes Kanter, T.J. McConnell, Miles Bridges, Shake Milton, Thaddeus Young, and Facundo Campazzo.
