Video: LeBron James & Steph Curry Put On Show for the Ages
The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors was everything we hoped for as the play-in tournament game turned into one of the best basketball games of the season. The Lakers defeated the Warriors 103-100, clinching the 7th seed. The Warriors now face off Friday night against the Memphis Grizzlies for the #8 seed.
The Lakers clawed back in this game from a 13-point halftime deficit and it was James who made sure they stayed ahead late. The superstar hit a 3-pointer with 58.2 seconds left in the game, as the shot clock expired, which turned out to be the winning basket. James finished with a triple double, 22 points, 11 rebounds and 10 dimes. Not to be out done, Anthony Davis recorded 25 points and added 12 rebounds.
As for the Warriors, Curry was a beast, knocking down 37 points. He got some help from Andrew Wiggins who chipped in with 21, but it just wasn't enough to get past the Lakers. Considering they held a 55-42 halftime lead, the Warriors will be thinking about their second half of play for a long time.
