VIDEO: Tyronn Lue Comes Clean About 'Avoiding' the Lakers
Los Angeles Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue is sick and tired of the noise surrounding his team. Multiple reports have surfaced stating the Clippers were doing whatever they could to avoid playing the Los Angeles Lakers in the first-round of the playoffs.
With two games left in the regular season, Lue sat stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. The savvy move resulted in the Clips falling to the fourth seed and now face the Dallas Mavericks in the first round. Lue had this to say about everyone making a big deal about it:
I don't give a damn what anybody else thinks on the outside. We decided to go health over anything else. Whatever people say on the outside, I don't care. I don't read Twitter, have Twitter and Insta-twit, all that. ... I am my own man and I do what I want to do, that's how I live my life.
The Lakers face off against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night in the play-in game to see who goes on to match up against the Phoenix Suns. As for the Clippers, they are well rested and ready for the Mavs.
