Atlanta Hawks Trae Young Headed for MRI After Weird Collision
The only thing that can stop Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young is apparently the referees. The Hawks guard is headed for an MRI on Monday after spraining his ankle late in the third quarter of Sunday's 113-102 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. Young collided with an official and managed to twist his right ankle pretty badly.
The sharpshooter managed to return to the game in the fourth but regardless is headed for some imaging. He's continued to receive treatment throughout the entire playoffs as it's been a touch sore at times for months.
Young met with the media after the game and had this to say about the incident:
It's sore right now. It's hurting. It's frustrating. It's hurting a little bit. I couldn't go as fast as I wanted to and when I did it hurt. My blow-by speed, that's a big part of my game. It's more the push-off, the blow-by.
Young ended up having himself another stellar game on Sunday as he finished with a team-high 35 points, four assists and one steal. The Bucks hold a 2-1 series lead and if Young isn't able to play at any point of the series, the Hawks are done.
