Damian Lillard: Teammate Of The Year Award Winner
Well, the timing couldn't be any better on this award announcement: Just two days after his superhuman effort of 55 points in the Portland Trail Blazers' heartbreaking double-overtime loss to the Denver Nuggets, Damian Lillard has been named the Twyman-Stokes Teammate Of The Year. And who can argue with that?
The award is based on selfless play, commitment to team, and leadership on and off the court. Yup, that pretty much sums up Dame..@Dame_Lillard has been selected as the winner of the @NBA's 2020-21 Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award! Well deserved, Dame. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/9QzwY26Pc1

More than 300 players around the league voted for the award, with Lillard taking the crown, edging out Chris Paul of the Phoenix Suns. Udonis Haslem, Kyle Lowry, and Boban Marjanovic round out the top 5 in the voting.
Add this award to a list of accomplishments that Lillard is bound to build on, starting perhaps with another legendary performance in Game 6 tonight to keep his team alive in this year's playoffs?
