LaMelo Ball Named NBA Rookie Of The Year; Anthony Edwards Upset
LaMelo Ball lived up to the hype this year in Charlotte, and despite missing 21 games with a broken wrist, he's now the 2020-21 NBA Rookie of the Year.

Ball averaged 15.7 PPG, along with 6 rebounds and 6 assists. He joins Luka Doncic as the only rookies in league history to average 15/5/5 plus at least 1.5 threes per game.
The former No. 3 overall pick edged out the Minnesota Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards for the award. Edwards is steamed, evidenced by his "like" for his longtime trainer's "Don't poke the bear!" response.

As for the rest of NBA Twitter, including Edwards' teammate Karl-Anthony Towns, they were left with a .... discussion.

Maybe if all that scoring Anthony Edwards did impacted winning, he would have won the award instead of LaMelo Ball. #Hornets #AllFly
