Video: LA Clippers Disappointing Their Fan Base Once Again
The Dallas Mavericks have pushed the Los Angeles Clippers to the brink of elimination after another impressive win in Game 5 of the series. The Clippers had no answer for Luka Doncic and his 42 points, and it was a couple of late free-throws that helped them seal the 105-100 win. It's become another playoffs full of disappointment for Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and their Clippers teammates.
Clippers have more talent on paper than the Mavs, but this has been a pretty even series because the Clippers don’t have a top playmaker/table setter as one of their key guys. Guys like Luka make limited guys way better. PG and Kawhi don’t.

George led all Clippers starters with 23 points and 10 boards, meanwhile Leonard was only able to score 20 points. Considering the magnitude of the game and how much the franchise needed both superstars to step up when it matter most, they didn't get the job done. Leonard has been amazing these playoffs, but this game stings.

The Mavericks look to close out their first round series with a win in Game 6 at home on Friday. The building will be rocking as they are expected to be playing in front of a full house. If the Clippers aren't able to get back into this series, they are once again going to become the punchline of underwhelming in the NBA.
