Report: 76ers Engaged in Ben Simmons Trade Discussions with Multiple Teams
It looks like the writing is on the wall for Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers as it's being reported the team is heavily involved in trade discussions to send the point guard on his way.
Shams Charania of The Athletic is reporting the team has been fielding trade offers on their All-Star and management has grown open to the fact they can move on and be successful without Simmons on their roster. At only 25 years old and with a ton of potential that's still untapped, there's going to be a tremendous amount of interest in acquiring the 76ers All-Star. Simmons is under contract through the 2025 season.
At this point it's unknown which team has the upper hand in trade negotiations but early indications point to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Golden State Warriors, Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans as all having different levels of interest.
Who's ready for a summer blockbuster? Sounds like the first big shoe to fall will be out of the city of Brotherly love.
