Rumor: Chris Paul to the Knicks Next Season Could Happen
Chris Paul is just coming off a career-defining performance (so far) to lead his Phoenix Suns into the NBA Finals, and some player agents are already placing him on the New York Knicks for next season!
Some NBA agents who represent point guards in the 2021 free-agent class believe that the New York Knicks are "a possible landing spot" for Chris Paul, reports @IanBegley. New York reportedly expressed interest in acquiring Paul last offseason: https://t.co/n2uEeUhzlr

Knicks insider Ian Begley reports that "Several agents for point guards in the 2021 free agent class fear New York as a possible landing spot for Paul."
There are a number of dominos that would have to fall first though, to make this a reality. First off, Paul would have to decline his $44 million dollar player option for next season, which several teams are expecting him to do.
Secondly, the Suns would have to pass on making a run at re-signing Paul; however, after watching him lead the team to its first Finals appearance in nearly 30 years, that's somewhat unlikely.
But if all of that falls into place, says Begley, the fact that Paul's former agent Leon Rose is now the Knicks President, could come into play.
Ah, but first things first: Chris Paul still has several games to play for this year's Phoenix Suns. Their date with either the Milwaukee Bucks or the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA Finals begins next week.
