Sports Illustrated's Grant Afseth first dropped the word that his sources tell him the Knicks are appealing to Lillard as a trade destination. The iconic New York franchise has finally shown signs of coming to life, with a playoff appearance this season, a rising star in Julius Randle, and a respected head coach in Tom Thibodeau.
The Miami Heat were named next, and they already have an "in", as Heat center Bam Adebayo is Lillard's teammate for the next month on Team USA.
Yet there are two other teams speculated to be on his list of preferred destinations.
Damian Lillard has officially requested a trade from the Portland Trailblazers, per source.

Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors is also a Team USA teammate of Lillard's, and the Lakers are...well, the Lakers.
Let the recruitment begin!
