Rumor: Los Angeles Lakers And Sacramento Kings Discussing Trade
The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to make changes to their roster after a disappointing end to the season. They have been talking to the Sacramento Kings about the availability of shooting guard Buddy Hield, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania. He also stated that power forward Kyle Kuzma would be the main piece that would be moved to the Kings.
Hield is a very gifted shooter who contributes very well offensively, so it makes sense that the Lakers would want to acquire him. The 28-year-old averaged 16.6 points per game this season, as well as 4.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists. He also has been noted for his ability to start plays, so he would mesh very well with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. He is locked up for the next three seasons, so the Lakers would have control over him for awhile.
Kuzma is about to begin the three-year, $40 million extension he signed last off-season. However, it would be worth trading him if the Lakers get back a player of Hield's ability. In 68 games this season, the 26-year-old averaged 12.9 points per game, 6.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists.
This would be a big trade if it comes into fruition, so it certainly is one for NBA fans to keep an eye out for.
