Rumor: These Two Teams Have Interest in Dennis Schroder

Dennis Schroder's one season as a Los Angeles Laker didn't exactly go according to plan. He was never able to be the facilitator or scorer they hoped he would be. Now he's a free agent looking for big bucks, and he does have suitors.

League sources indicate that the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls will both be interested in Schroder. In the Knicks case, they could sign him outright, for the Bulls, it would have to be a sign-and-trade negotiation with the Lakers.

Schroder recently indicated that he expects a contract in the $125 Million dollar range, and it's widely thought that the Lakers wouldn't be interested at that price (or maybe at any price).

Schroder turned down a 4-year $84 Million dollar offer from the Lakers earlier this season, so he clearly won't come cheap.

As the report suggests, the Knicks will have at least $50 Million to spend under the cap, so they would have the upper hand over the Bulls. The Knicks have also been connected to Collin Sexton, however, so they have options.
