Trail Blazers' PG Damian Lillard Comments on Recent Trade Rumors

Portland Trail Blazers all-star guard Damian Lillard has certainly heard all the trade chatter surrounding him this offseason, he's just wondering where it came from.

Lillard who is currently with the Team USA Men's Basketball program spoke to reporters recently and had this to say about all the noise:

It's a lot of things being said. Sometimes words being put in my mouth and I haven't said anything. All of the people who've covered me since I've been in the NBA, they'd know that if there's something to be said - or if I think something or have something to say - I'm going to say it. And I'm going to stand on it. Anything that I have to say, I'm going to say it directly to (president of basketball operations) Neil (Olshey), and I'm going to address it directly with my team.

While the rumors have been running wild, don't expect the NBA's best rapper to be traded this summer. He doesn't want out of Portland from all accounts, the organization certainly knows where he stands. Lillard is under contract until 2023-24 and last season put up some monster numbers with 24.7 ppg, 6.6 apg, 4.2 rpg. If some crazy situation happens where Lillard ends up getting moved, it's likely the New York Knicks make it happen. For now, take Dame Dolla's response to the rumors at full value.
