Which Players Get Trolled the Most on Twitter? You'll Be Surprised At Who Heads The List

So which NBA player gets the highest percentage of hate on Twitter? Some names immediately come to mind: Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving... Ben Simmons maybe?

A new study has scientifically attempted to come up with the answer, researching all players' mentions and classifying them as either positive, negative, or neutral using an online analytics tool. The study has shown that four-time champion Steph Curry heads up the hate!

27.9% of Curry's mentions were classified as "negative". That topped the trolling of Russell Westbrook, in 2nd place at 24.6% of his mentions, while Joel Embiid got the third-most hate, with 22.3% negative tweets.

The rest of the top 6 found some more expected names:

4. LeBron James 22.1%

5. Kevin Durant 21.7%

6. Kyrie Irving 20.7%

Let's go out on a limb and suggest that this study was conducted before the NBA playoffs, when Ben Simmons, certainly, and to a lesser extent, Paul George, would have surely been ranked near the top.

But Steph Curry fans can take solace in this contradictory result: He also topped the list for most positive mentions (47.5%).

Rounding out the top 3 on the list for feeling the love from fans: LeBron James (46.7%) and Carmelo Anthony (46.1%).

What's that old saying? “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time."
