Report: Kendrick Nunn Signs with LA Lakers
Kendrick Nunn is trading one coastal beach town for another, as the Miami Heat free agent - and birthday boy - is heading west to join the LA Lakers. Nunn has reportedly signed a two-year deal worth $10M, with the second year of the deal being a player option. The Heat pulled their qualifying offer to Nunn once they completed their sign-and-trade deal with the Toronto Raptors for Kyle Lowry.

After going undrafted in 2018 and playing in the G-League for most of 2018-19, the Heat signed Nunn to a two-year deal worth a paltry $3M. During his two years with the Heat, Nunn proved to be a key cog, averaging 15.0 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 3.0 apg on 36.4 3P%, while making the 2019-20 All-Rookie Team. It has been rumored that Nunn turned down more money and term from multiple teams, including the Knicks, in order to join LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook on their title hunt.
No doubt it's been a great birthday for the newest Laker.
