Richaun Holmes Stays Home - Resigns in Sacramento

Richaun Holmes is staying home. The former 2nd round pick (37th overall) in the 2015 draft has found consistency in Sacramento over the last two years, as he has started 99 out of a possible 105 games, averaging career highs last year after his breakout 2019-20 campaign.
Signed as a free agent with the Kings prior to the 2019-20 season primarily to back up highly touted prospect Marvin Bagley III, Holmes stepped into the starting lineup once Bagley was beset with injury problems. During his time in Sactown, he has averaged 13.4 ppg, 8.2 rpg with 1.4 bpg on 64.1 FG% as well as a solid 79.2 FT%.
Holmes had garnered interest from a number of teams this offseason, including Dallas, New York and Toronto, and was the only true center on the free agent market this offseason.

Needless to say, there are a lot of people that are pleased with this move from the Kings.
