According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, this puts Rozier amongst the elite of guards in terms of pay scale.
After coming over from the Boston Celtics in a trade two years ago, Rozier was eventually shifted from point guard to shooting guard. And it's been a big success, with Rozier earning the nickname "Scary Terry" for his clutch shooting.
He recorded career highs in several statistical categories in 2020-21, in points (20.4 PPG), assists (4.2), FG% (45.0), steals (1.3), and minutes (34.5). He also ranked 5th in the NBA in 3-pointers made, with 222 long-range bombs.

The extension puts Rozier into the range of the Top 10 highest-paid guards in the league, in amongst the likes of Jaylen Brown and DeMar DeRozan.
