Toronto Raptors GM Comments on Pascal Siakam Trade Rumors
Toronto Raptors general manager Bobby Webster hears the same rumors we do and he wants Raptors fans to know his relationship with Pascal Siakam is as strong as ever. Webster made the media rounds from the Summer League in Las Vegas and opened up about the trade speculation that's been brewing since the season ended.
Webster had this to say to on TSN's Overdrive about the rumors:
Don't put a ton of stock in the rumors; obviously, it's the teams who want him that are trying to drum things up. We're out here in Las Vegas for summer league. We sat with him and talked with him for a bit, and that relationship is strong. There's a level of trust both ways. Don't read into that stuff as much either as far as how we feel internally with Pascal and obviously his role. I think the most important thing is him recovering from his shoulder surgery. He's rehabbing now; he said he feels great. He looks great. He's shooting and dribbling and starting to get further along with his physical therapy.
Siakam has been linked recently to the Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers, however at this point it sounds like he's not going anywhere. And Siakam's teammates are happy to have him back.
