Victor Oladipo New Contract & Injury Timeline

He's been pretty much the forgotten man in the Miami Heat's plans for the coming season, and it's not surprising: Victor Oladipo played only 4 games for the Heat after coming over at the trade deadline, due to a right quadriceps injury. That, plus poor play left him in an unenviable negotiating position going into free agency.

Thus, Oladipo has signed back on with the Heat at the "minimum" for one season, and expects to be back in action as early as December... or January... or....

The 27-year-old will thus hit free agency again in 2022, and hopes to cash in then. Oladipo has a career 17.5 PPG average, to go along with 4 assists and 4.4 rebounds.

He was a 2-time All-Star in 2018 and 2019 while with the Pacers. Indiana dealt him in January of this year in the multi-team James Harden trade that landed Oladipo in Houston.

He was scoring at a 20 PPG clip while with the Rockets, and before his deadline trade to Miami, and he hopes to recapture the magic with the Heat once he's healthy.

He'll have a strong surrounding cast, as the Heat have brought in free agent Kyle Lowry from the Toronto Raptors, and they've re-signed their own, Duncan Robinson, each to $90 million dollar deals.

Oladipo is coming off surgery on his troublesome quad for the 2nd time in 3 years.
