Bucks Antetokounmpo Hurt, Could Miss Extended Time
The Milwaukee Bucks are ready to run it back but they will be hard pressed to get off to a good start this season as it sounds like star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is dealing with a knee injury.
The superstar did not participate in the team's first practice on Tuesday as his hyperextended knee is still giving him fits. The team certainly won't rush him back anytime soon and there's a very good chance Giannis could start the season wearing a suit on game nights. The NBA champion had this to say about his health:
There’s no rush for me here. I’m good to go, but if I feel pain again or whatever the case might be, I have to listen to my body. I’ve played through pain. I don’t think now is the time to risk that. It’s too early in the season, but at the end of the day, I feel good physically, mentally. I’ll do whatever I have to do to be 100 percent
The 26-year-old is expected to have another massive season and the Bucks are heavy favorites in the Eastern Conference but will be in tough against the likes of the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics. As for Giannis, he's taking it day by day and isn't in any rush to get back out there on the court.
