DeAndre Jordan Set to Join the Los Angeles Lakers
The Brooklyn Nets and Detroit Pistons completed a trade on Friday and the result has DeAndre Jordan heading to the Los Angeles Lakers. Jordan will be bought out by the Pistons and free to sign with any team, the Lakers are his choice.
Jordan averaged 7.5ppg and 7.5 rpg last season with the Nets and will bring some more veteran depth to the Lakers, who certainly aren't shy to floor an aging roster. Jordan isn't the high-flyer he once was, but he's capable of running the floor, grabbing some boards, and making shots tougher to get off for the opponents.
With his buyout with the Pistons, Jordan is handing back $4 million of his contract. His contract with the Lakers is for $2.6 million.
