Following his trade from Brooklyn to Indiana last January, it was revealed through an MRI that there was a small mass on his kidney. Surgery to remove the mass was scheduled and he ended up getting back in action in mid-March. However, heading into his first full season in Indiana, it has now been revealed that LeVert has a stress fracture in his back - which is supposedly relatively minor and the Pacers expect him to be back around the start of the season.
LeVert has shown steady improvement throughout his career, breaking out in 2019-20 averaging 18.7 ppg, 4.2 rpg & 4.4 apg. Through 35 games in Indiana following the trade he was even better - 20.7 ppg, 4.6 rpg & 4.9 apg.
Hopefully the five-year man from Michigan can come back healthy and ready to contribute to a Pacers team that is looking to get back to the playoffs following their first post season miss since the 2014-15 season.
