Report: Joel Embiid Reason Why Ben Simmons Wants Out of Philly
If you haven't heard yet, Ben Simmons does not want to play for the Philadelphia 76ers anymore. Now we know why. According to reports, Simmons is fed up trying to share the ball with Joel Embiid and playing alongside the big man has "run it's course".
Simmons doesn't feel their playing styles match up efficiently as teammates and since Embiid isn't going anywhere, the point-forward feels it's he that needs to leave. At media day on Monday, the 76ers coaching staff and management made one final cry out to Simmons to come back and re-join his teammates but at the end of the day, certainly feels like that ship has sailed.
As for Embiid, he's never come public with his dislike for playing with Simmons and appears to be open to his return. The big man was a part of the group that tried to meet with Simmons a couple of weeks ago to smooth over the relationship, but as we reported that meeting was denied by the Australian guard.
Look for a trade before opening night with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Sacramento Kings as the early favorites to land Simmons from the 76ers.
