18 Former NBA Players Arrested In Health Insurance Fraud Scheme
According to Tom Winter and Jonathan Dienst, a total of 18 former NBA players have been charged with allegedly "defrauding the NBA's Health and Welfare Benefit Plan out of approximately $4,000,000."
Terrence Williams, Tony Allen, Alan Anderson, Shannon Brown, William Bynum, Glen Davis, Christopher Douglas-Roberts, Melvin Ely, Darius Miles, Jamario Moon, Milt Palacio, Ruben Patterson, Eddie Robinson, Gregory Smith, Sebastian Telfair, Antoine Wright and Tony Wroten are the players reportedly involved. It's also worth noting that Williams has been accused as being the mastermind of the operation and was the person who sent out the false claims to the NBA's Health and Welfare Benefit Plan. In the process, he reportedly made $230,000 from the other accused players.More former players:
