76ers Embiid Finding Simmons Trade Noise Disrespectful

The Philadelphia 76ers are in a mess and Joel Embiid is sick and tired of hearing his team be disrespected. The big man weighed in on the Ben Simmons trade saga and didn't hold back his feelings.

Reports have surfaced that Embiid is one of the reasons why Simmons wants nothing to do with the 76ers anymore and playing with him has 'run it's course'. Embiid spoke to the media on Friday and had this to say about the whole ordeal:

Our teams have always been built around his needs, so it was kind of surprising to see what was said. Even going back to the reason we signed Al. We got rid of Jimmy, which I still think was a mistake ... but [Simmons] needed the ball in his hands and that’s the decision they made. The situation is weird, disappointing, borderline kind of disrespectful to all the guys that are out here fighting for their lives

Simmons has requested a trade and will not be reporting to 76ers camp. The 25-year-old was a former #1 pick and has four years left on his deal paying him $147 million remaining on his deal.
