Atlanta Hawks Star Injured in Preseason Opener
All the Atlanta Hawks wanted to do was get everyone through their preseason opener healthy. Unfortunately that wasn't the case as superstar guard Trae Young had to leave the game with a quad contusion.
The Hawks would go on to lose the game 125-99 to the Miami Heat. During the third quarter Young gets tangled up with Heat point guard Gabe Vincent and picked himself up and headed to the locker room.
Young finished the game playing roughly 18 minutes, recording 14 points on 5-of-15 from the field, also adding four turnovers. After the game Young spoke to the media and seems to think he will be totally fine, mentioning to trust him that he's fine.

The Hawks couldn't stay healthy last season and it was one of the biggest reasons they didn't make more noise out of the Eastern Conference. They look to improve on their 41-31 record from last season and will certainly need Young healthy and logging major minutes to deliver.
