Brooklyn Nets Complete Two Trades
The Brooklyn Nets have been busy, pulling off a pair of trades. The team facilitated deals with both the Houston Rockets and Indiana Pacers as they try to situate their contract situation.
The first deal sees the Nets bring in injured guard Edmond Sumner and a 2025 second-round pick from the Pacers. The expectation is now the Nets will waive Sunmer who is rehabbing a torn achilles. The 25-year-old guard is due $2.3 million this season.
The Nets then pulled off another deal, sending third-year forward Sekou Doumbouya and a second-round pick to the Rockets, as reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic. The expectation is the Rockets will waive the forward who is owed $3.6 million in 2021-22.
