Cleveland Cavaliers Rookie To Miss Time
Cleveland Cavaliers big man Evan Mobley will be out for the next two-to-four weeks due to a right elbow strain.
Mobley left Monday night's game against the Boston Celtics early because of it. Now, we have a better understanding of how long the Cavaliers will be without their young forward.
There is no denying that this is a terrible development for the Cavaliers. Even though the injury isn't technically long term, Mobley is a significant loss for them. The 20-year-old has been one of the league's top rookies thus far.
In 15 games, he has averaged 14.6 PPG, 8.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists. If he continues to play at this pace when he returns, he will surely be in the running for NBA Rookie of The Year.
After a 22-50 record last season, the Cavaliers have started the 2021-22 campaign with an impressive 9-6 record. With this, they are currently fifth in the Eastern Conference. They deserve praise for sure, but now with Mobley out, they are in for a real challenge to stay this solid.
