New Orleans Pelicans Provide Big Update Regarding Zion Williamson's Injury
New Orleans Pelicans head coach Willie Green announced that Zion Williamson will be out for at least the next two to three weeks.
The plan from here is to see if Williamson will be ready to practice fully over that time period. Once he is able to, the team will determine when he is ready to participate in game action.Story: Zion 'progressing,' but out at least 2-3 more weeks https://t.co/Nx4A8SYK5J

Williamson has been recovering from foot surgery that he underwent over the off-season.Willie Green says Zion Williamson had his scans done on his foot. He's cutting, doing some work on the floor.

He still isn't cleared to do any 5-on-5 work. The plan is for him to get another round of scans in 2-3 weeks that'll free him up to be a full participant in practice.
It certainly is good news for the Pelicans that Williamson will be returning in the near future. They certainly miss him on the court, as they currently have a 1-6 record and are tied for last place in the Western Conference with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Once he's full ready to return, the Pelicans will be in far better shape. As a 20-year-old last season, Williamson averaged 27.0 PPG, 7.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists. With all of this, he understandably was an All-Star, too.
Alas, it will be great to see the young star once he is officially back.
