The Bucks are Cousins' 6th NBA team; He last played with the Los Angeles Clippers for the last 16 games plus playoffs of the 2020-21 season, where he averaged 7.8 points and 4.5 rebounds.
Cousins sat out the entire 2019-20 season due to a torn ACL, suffered during the offseason, and the 31-year-old, while he's shown flashes, hasn't quite returned to his former self.
The Bucks, however, are in need of another big man, and according to Adrian Wojnarowski, had kept a roster spot open for just this type of eventuality.
Cousins was a four-time All-Star with the Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans before his ACL injury.
Bucks center Brook Lopez has been out with a bad back for 6 weeks, opening a need for Cousins.
