Atlanta Hawks To Be Without Trae Young

The Atlanta Hawks will be without All-Star guard Trae Young, as the 23-year-old has been placed in the NBA's COVID protocols.

With this news, there's a good chance that Young will not be able to play in the Hawks' Christmas Day game against the New York Knicks.
Young being out of the lineup in any capacity is always a major negative for the Hawks. He is their best player and is having himself another excellent campaign. In 29 games so far this season, he has averaged 27.3 PPG, 4.0 rebounds and 9.3 assists. With the amount of success he's been having thus far, it's fair to state that he's well on his way to his second career All-Star Game. Of course, that is when assuming that the event will still occur this February. The spike in COVID-19 cases could change that.

Following the news, the NBA announced that the Hawks' game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday night has been postponed. This isn't too shocking, as the Cavaliers have a major part of their roster out from the virus.
