Boston Celtics To Be Without Center
When the Boston Celtics take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Christmas Day, they will be with be missing one of their centers. Enes Freedom has entered COVID-19 protocol and will be forced to sit out.
With Freedom now in protocol, it brings Boston's total to eight players. Although there are some teams who have even more, it's fair to state that the virus is hitting the Celtics quite hard right now. It will be interesting to see if this ends up impacting their Christmas showdown.
Freedom has played in 21 games this season. In them thus far, he has averaged 4.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 0.2 assists. With this, he has seen a bit of a drop in production, as he averaged 11.2 points, 11.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists last season with the Portland Trail Blazers. Yet, he also had a bigger role there with the franchise, so it ultimately makes sense.
Nevertheless, here's to hoping the 29-year-old will be able to get back to the court as soon as his quarantine ends.
