Brooklyn Nets To Be Without Kevin Durant
The Brooklyn Nets will be without Kevin Durant, as the 33-year-old has entered the league's COVID protocols.
Durant is one of two stars from Brooklyn to enter into protocols on Saturday, as Kyrie Irving also has. Durant is obviously a major loss for the Nets, as he once again is having himself a spectacular season. In 27 games, he is averaging a league-leading 29.7 PPG to go along with 7.9 rebounds and 5.9 assists. This kind of production will be extremely hard for Brooklyn to replace.
Irving needs five consecutive days of negative tests to join the team at practice. Now, he’s the ninth Brooklyn player to enter into protocols. https://t.co/5sATQFhhF9

At this said juncture, the Nets now have nine players out due to the virus. Due to this, they are signing forward Wenyen Gabriel to a 10-day hardship exemption. Although it's good that they are adding some depth to the roster, one has to wonder if the NBA could elect to postpone their upcoming games.

Alas, here's to hoping Durant has a speedy recovery and can be back on the court very soon.
