Cavaliers Provide Update Regarding Ricky Rubio
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Ricky Rubio has a torn ACL in his left knee and will be out for the remainder of the regular season. This is the second time during his career that he has sustained this injury.
This is a massive blow for the Cavaliers, as Rubio has been excellent in his first season with the team. He's become an important part of their offense, so naturally, they now will have a big hole on their roster. On the year, he has averaged 13.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 6.6 assists (14th in NBA) per game.
The Cavaliers have been surprising a lot of people this season . Many expected them to be at the bottom of the standings, but they currently have an impressive 20-14 record and are fifth in the Eastern Conference. It will be interesting to see how they perform here without Rubio from here.
Here's to hoping Rubio has a speedy recovery. The severity of an injury like this is massive, so it will be a big moment when he gets back on the court. We'll be rooting for him.
