Cleveland Cavaliers Sign Guard
The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed Brandon Goodwin to a 10-day contract.
Goodwin has spent the entirety of this season with the G League's Westchester Knicks. In seven games, he averaged 15.3 points, 7.0 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game. That kind of production isn't bad at all, so there's no harm in Cleveland giving him this very short-term deal.
Goodwin also comes with a bit of NBA experience under his belt, too. In 97 career games between the Denver Nuggets and Atlanta Hawks, he averaged 4.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists. The 26-year-old last was in the NBA during the 2020-21 campaign as a member of the Hawks.
The Cavaliers have also ended Tre Scott's 10-day contract one day early to allow Goodwin to join the roster.
Nevertheless, this has the potential to be a solid little depth move for the Cavaliers.
