Clippers Sign Veteran Forward
The Los Angeles Clippers have signed James Ennis III to a 10-day contract.
Ennis has been on a 10-day contract with the Brooklyn Nets, but due to some of their players returning, his time with the team is coming to a close. In two contests with the team, he averaged 2.5 points and 2.5 rebounds.
Ennis has a solid amount of NBA experience, as he has played in 390 career games between the Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies, Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets, Philadelphia 76ers, Orlando Magic and Nets. It's fair to say that he's a journeyman and now, he's about to join his eighth NBA team in eight NBA seasons.
Unlike many other of the players who have been signed to 10-day contracts since the rise of COVID-19 cases, Ennis got into a lot of action last season. In 41 games with the Magic, he averaged 8.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists.
Overall, not a bad move for the Clippers. It's never bad to add depth.
