Former All-Star's Comeback Attempt Ramping Up
He's played a total of just 55 games over the last 3+ years, as injuries have devastated his once-promising career, but two-time All-Star Isaiah Thomas will get a huge chance to strut his stuff in his latest NBA comeback attempt. He'll be featured in the G League's Showcase event later this month, according to The Athletic.
Two-time All-Star Isaiah Thomas has signed in the NBA G League and will play in the G League Showcase (Dec. 19-22) in Las Vegas, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Thomas is on the NBA comeback trail.

Scouts and general managers from around the NBA will be on hand to watch the best the G League has to offer from Dec. 19-22 in Las Vegas, and Thomas hopes it can be his ticket back into the Association.
Thomas was a two-time All-Star with the Boston Celtics in 2016 and '17, until a significant hip injury cut him down in his prime.
Still just 32, Thomas is determined to make it back to the NBA, and won himself a workout with the Golden State Warriors pre-training camp, but he was unable to grab the team's last roster spot.
The G League Showcase has been a breakthrough event for many NBA stars over the years.
