Indiana Pacers Sign Guard
The Indiana Pacers have signed guard Nate Hinton to a 10-day contract.
Hinton comes with a little bit of NBA experience, as he played 20 games with the Dallas Mavericks last season. In those contests, the 22-year-old averaged 2.0 points, 0.4 rebounds and 0.4 assists. Ultimately, he was a depth player who did not get too much time on the court.
Hinton also played in the G-League last season, too. In 12 games between the Long Island Nets and Santa Cruz Warriors, he averaged 9.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists. He also has played this season with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. With them, he averaged 8.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 14 games.
This move by the Pacers is in response to Jeremy Lamb entering health and safety protocols. It seems likely that more will follow suit, so it's smart for the Pacers to begin preparing now just in case.
