LeBron James Records 36,000th Career Point
In Tuesday night's contest against the Houston Rockets, LeBron James became the third player in NBA history to hit 36,000 career points.
The two players who previously reached this remarkable milestone were Kareem-Abdul Jabbar (38,387 career points) and Karl Malone (36,928 career points). By the time James finishes his career, there's a good chance that he will pass both of them and be the league's all-time leading scorer.
It was a good game for the Lakers as a collective unit, too. They defeated the Houston Rockets by a 132-123 final score and snapped their five-game losing streak. With it, the Lakers now have a 17-18 record and are seventh in the Western Conference. The Rockets, on the other hand, have fallen to 10-25 and remain at the bottom of the Western Conference.
For the first time in his career, James started at center, too. It's fair to say he played well, as he had 32 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Nevertheless, congrats on another milestone, LeBron!
