LeBron James Sets New Record
LeBron James is continuing to build on his remarkable NBA resume. In Saturday's game against the Brooklyn Nets, he broke Kobe Bryant's previous record of 395 all-time points in Christmas Day games.
It was an all-around solid game for LeBron, as he had 39 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. After its completion, he now has a total of 422 points in 16 career Christmas Day games. Due to the fact that he isn't showing any true signs of slowing down, he should be able to build on his new record from here.
Although this is a nice accomplishment for LeBron, it's apparent that the Lakers desperately need to get things back on track. With their 122-115 loss to the Nets, they now have a 16-18 record and are in seventh place in the Western Conference. This is far lower than what fans expected of them, especially after the summer of spending they just had.
Overall, James has been doing his job from an individual standpoint, as he is averaging 27.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game.
Alas, even with the loss, this is still a nice accomplishment for the future Hall of Famer.
