Miami Heat Sign Another Player
The Miami Heat are staying very busy, as they have now signed Chris Silva to a 10-day contract. He is the sixth player they've added this week.
The Heat are one of many teams who are being hit hard by COVID-19 right now. At this juncture, they currently have eight players in health and safety protocols, so it makes sense that they are being active.
Silva was just on a 10-day contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He played in one game with the team and recorded a rebound. He also barely played in the process, as he was on the court for a measly three minutes. With Miami, he will be hoping to get into a little more action.
The Heat know Silva well, as he played his first two seasons in the NBA with the club. As a rookie during the 2019-20 campaign, he played in 44 games. In them, he averaged 3.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.5 assists. In his following season, he appeared in just 11 contests before joining the Sacramento Kings.
There's nothing wrong with bringing back a familiar face. Let's see how Silva does in his reunion with the franchise.
