Oklahoma City Thunder Sign Three Players
The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed Rob Edwards, Scotty Hopson and Olivier Sarr to 10-day contracts.
All three of these players have been with the Thunder's G-League squad, the Oklahoma City Blue. Due to the fact they currently have four players in health and safety protocols, it makes sense that they have decided to bring in some temporary depth.
After finishing his collegiate career with Arizona State University, Edwards joined the Blue last season. In 15 games this season with the team, he has averaged 12.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists.
It's very interesting to see Hopson find his way back to the NBA. The 32-year-old guard last played in the league with the Dallas Mavericks during the 2017-18 season. With that, he also played in two games with the Cleveland Cavaliers back during the 2013-14 season. In 11 games this season with the Blue, he has averaged 6.4 PPG, 2.3 RPG and 1.4 APG.
As for Sarr, this will be his first chance playing at the NBA level. In his first taste of the G-League this season, he has performed well, as he has averaged 7.1 points and 4.9 rebounds in 14 contests.
