Washington Wizards Sign Center

The Washington Wizards have signed center Jaime Echenique to a 10-day contract.

Echenique has spent this season with the Capital City Go-Go. In 14 contests, he averaged 12.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. Those are pretty solid numbers, so it's nice to see him land this reward - even if it's for the short term.

The Wizards are currently dealing with COVID-19, so it isn't surprising that they have decided to bring in another player. Their next game is on Saturday against the Chicago Bulls, so it's good that they're going in prepared.

It will be interesting to see how much playing time Echenique receives from here.
