Washington Wizards Sign Forward
Over the weekend, the Chicago Bulls waived Alize Johnson. Yet, he now has already found a new home, as he has signed a 10-day contract with the Washington Wizards.
Johnson signed a two-year, $3,607,937 contract with the Bulls during the offseason, but his tenure with the team of course ended far earlier than expected. In 16 games with the Bulls, he averaged 1.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.5 assists.
The Wizards are one of many teams who are dealing with multiple cases of COVID-19 on their roster, so it isn't surprising to see them sign Johnson. It's a wonderful opportunity for him, as if he impresses during his brief contract, he could land himself a deal for the season there or elsewhere.
Nevertheless, let's see how Johnson performs with his new team. He should be able to get into some action when looking at the Wizards' current roster.
