The incident occurred with just under 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter after Kuzma hit a three to put the Wizards ahead of the Piston by a 97-88 score. One has to assume that the fan was heckling Kuzma, but it was still unacceptable gesture from the 26-year-old.
Still, Kuzma ended up having himself an excellent game that night, as he had 26 points, seven rebounds and four assists. With that, he also hit the game-winning three with 0.6 seconds left in overtime. Therefore, even with the fine, it's pretty safe to say that he's happy with how that contest turned out for him.
