An Update Regarding Anthony Davis
Anthony Davis could return for the Los Angeles Lakers during their six-game road trip at the end of January, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
Davis has been out with an MCL sprain for a handful of weeks. The star has started having on-court workouts, which certainly is another big step in the right direction for him.
When looking at the Lakers right now, it's apparent that they could use Davis as soon as possible. They currently have a 21-21 record and are seventh in the Western Conference. Although they hold a playoff position, one prolonged losing streak could change that. Perhaps when Davis returns, they can go on a much-needed winning streak. Over their last 10 games, they also have only won five times.
Before his injury, Davis was having another very good season for the Lakers. In 27 games, he is averaging 23.3 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. That kind of production is missed immensely by the Lakers right now, so it will be big once he returns.
Here's to hoping the star continues to progress this well and is on the court by the end of the month.
