Charles Barkley Has Some Serious (And Not So Serious) Diet Advice For Zion Williamson
He was known as the Round Mound of Rebound at the beginning of his career, so we all know that Charles Barkley is an expert when it comes to playing in the NBA with a few extra pounds. And also the benefits of being without that extra weight. It's with this in mind that we present Barkley's special diet advice for Zion Williamson:
"I'm going to put Zion on that diet I was on. If it tastes good, spit it out."

"I'm going to put Zion on that diet I was on. If it tastes good, spit it out!"
It sounds like a joke, but it's coming from a good place. Sir Charles continued:
How many people around me would have told me I was fat and lazy? When you're in the limelight, most of the people around you are enablers. 'Cuz you paying all the bills, you're buying all the meals, literally... They're not gonna say, 'You're gonna eat your way out the NBA'. The Pelicans got to put their foot down: 'Yo, man... You're gonna make a billion dollars, if you can just get your weight under control'.
While Shaq continued to chortle like a buffoon, Kenny Smith and Charles had a serious conversation, showing that they really do want to help Zion, whose weight problems have been well documented.
"This is a real question of someone who's got a weight problem," said Kenny. “We joke around, but we want this kid to get healthy," continued Charles. "‘cause he’s got so much talent, seems like a great kid."
Williamson has yet to play this season, rehabbing a broken bone in his foot that was suffered early last summer. The healing hasn't gone as expected. He's had additional treatments, and for now, is only doing non-weight bearing, non-basketball activities.
As for now, there is no timeline for his return.
Zion averaged 27 points last season for the Pelicans, but has played in only 85 of a possible 183 games in his young career.
