Dallas Mavericks To Be Without Star
The Dallas Mavericks will be without Kristaps Porzingis, as he has entered health and safety protocols.
The Mavericks are set to play the Denver Nuggets on Monday night and will be very shorthanded. Besides Porzingis being forced to sit out, Boban Marjanovic, Trey Burke, Willie Cauley-Stein, JaQuori McLaughlin, and Isaiah Thomas will also not be playing.
It's been another solid season for Porzingis thus far, so Dallas will surely miss him in their lineup. In 26 games, he's averaged 20.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. With this, it certainly won't be easy for the Mavericks to replace his production in the lineup while he's out.
This is also not the best time for the Mavericks to lose a player of his ability. They are currently eighth place in the Western Conference and looking to maintain their playoff spot. They are two games ahead of the ninth-place Minnesota Timberwolves, so they will be aiming to avoid a losing streak with so many players out.
