Fractured Foot Is Terrible Break For Mavericks Guard
The Dallas Mavericks have been on a great run, working their way up the Western Conference since the new year. Things took an ugly turn, however, Tuesday night. As if getting destroyed by the Golden State Warriors 130-92 wasn't bad enough, the Mavs also lost Tim Hardaway Jr. to a fracture in his left foot.

Hardaway Jr. had to be helped off the court after the injury, which occurred when he drove to the rim and planted his foot going in for a layup.
Tim Hardaway Jr. exits the game and will not return after injuring his foot on this play.

The play looked innocent enough, but now the Mavericks will have to do without the 29-year-old guard for a significant stretch of time.
Hardaway is averaging 14.3 points this season, after signing a 4-year, $75M extension this past summer.
The Mavericks have been connected to a number of key trade targets as the Feb. 10th deadline approaches, and perhaps this injury may step up the urgency to add some help.
